William G. "Bill" Dixon

William G "Bill" Dixon, 53, Maple Plain, MN. Passed away on October 8th, 2025 in Minneapolis, MN.

Born June 22nd, 1972 to Janice and Lawrence Dixon in Minneapolis, MN. Bill graduated from Anoka Senior High School in 1991 and briefly studied Horticulture at Hennepin Tech. Bill graduated with a Bachelors degree in Bible and a minor in photography from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College, and most recently was studying accounting.

Bill is survived by his siblings, Paula (Chuck)Held of Waconia, Brad Dixon of Stacy, Liz (Jon) Steinmetz of St Michael, Rebecca Wick of St Michael, and Rachel Dixon of Harriman, TN;  8 nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and many extended relatives. 

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Janice and Lawrence Dixon; Maternal and Paternal Grandparent;, Aunts and an Uncle.

Bill was a phenomenal photographer, with a true love for photographing landscapes and nature. Bill loved to travel to National Parks, to see new places and all that it had to offer. Bill especially loved the North Shore of Lake Superior, traveling and photographing the area with his dad.

Bill enjoyed camping, music, documentaries, history, military airshows, studying the Bible and biblical history, spending time with friends and family, participating in woodworking projects. Bill was gifted with creative vision and and eye for beauty in nature. Bill had a generous heart, listening ear, and protective stance for those he loved and cared for, coupled with quick humor and sharp wit which endeared him to many.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 17th, 2025 from 1-2:30p at the Evans-Nordby Funeral Home in Osseo, MN. Private graveside service to follow.
