Vernon J. Kampa, age 94 of Maple Grove, died peacefully surrounded by family. He was blessed to have been able to be at his home up until a brief stay at Northridge Health and Rehab. Husband, Father, Grand-Father, Great Grand-Father. World War II veteran served in the Merchant Marines, Union Carpenter who loved to hunt and fish. Preceded in death by wife, Gladys Kampa. Survived by children, Linda (Arlan) Amsbaugh, Larry Kampa, Nancy Kampa, Tom (Victoria) Kampa, Sue Kampa, Sheila (Jeff) Kampa; Grand-children, Shawn, Kyle, Kara, Christopher, Alyson; Great Grand-children, Kali, Shelby, Mason, Chloe, Michael. Also survived by brother, Caroll (Carol) Kampa; and sister-in-law, Mae Kampa. A special heartfelt thank you to Northridge Health and Rehab, for their caring staff and also Father Mike Sullivan, St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.
