Obituary for Thomas Ranheim

Ranheim, Thomas “Tom” (78) passed away on 6/22/22 after a courageous and hard fought battle with ALS.

He was voted "Most Enchanting Smile" at Henry High School, Class of 1962 and he carried that infectious smile throughout his life. He loved music, dancing, playing sports, watching his grandson play sports & music and never missed a Vikings game. He was a tireless worker in life and during his 30+ years at Sears. Most importantly he was deeply dedicated to his family and friends. He was our rock and will be incredibly missed.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Joyce Ranheim, parents Herbert and Bonnie Ranheim, brother Nick Ranheim, sister Happy Fields, sister and brother in-laws; Bob & Karen Lucey, Al Brecht and special aunt Gerry Rettke.

He is survived by his loving daughter Amy Ranheim-Cerisier, amazing son Bret Ranheim, devoted grandson Joey Cerisier, special girlfriend Judy Reeves, sister Dusty (Al) Barrett-Cooper, brother-in-law Tom Fields, God daughter Tonya Ranheim, nieces & nephews, (Chris, Dain, Chay, Tawny, Jesse, Todd, Rene’ and Jolene), great nieces and nephews, lifelong friend & cousin Bruce Rettke, and numerous other family & friends.

Funeral services 7/12/22 at 11:00 am, visitation one hour prior at Edinbrook Church, 4300 Edinbrook Parkway N., Brooklyn Park, MN, 763-424-7744. Luncheon to immediately follow services. Private interment will follow for immediate family.
