Stephen W. Schlosser
May 27, 2026 - May 16, 2026
Stephen W. Schlosser, of Brooklyn Park, passed away peacefully at home on May 16, 2026, from complications of Parkinson’s disease. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and coworker. Simply, he was a really good man.
For 54 years, Steve shared a loving marriage with his beloved wife, Helen. Together, they built a life grounded in kindness, loyalty, humor, and generosity. He was a deeply proud father to his daughters, Clara and Emily, and a loving grandfather to Natalie and Olivia, who brought him endless joy. He also cherished his dog, Baxter, and his grand-pups, Blossom and Bluebell, whose companionship made him smile.
Steve will be remembered for the calm compassion he gave to people around him, for the warmth he brought to family gatherings, for the friendships he nurtured over a lifetime, and for his steadfast dedication to his work as a software engineer at TSI Inc. for 37 years. Steve was also a Vietnam-era veteran, serving four years in the Army Security Agency, with postings to Japan and Turkey. Steve credited that experience for his love of travel and the technical training as the stepping-stone to his career.
Our memorial celebration of Steve will be held at the Eastman Nature Center, 13351 Elm Creek Road, Dayton, MN, on July 26, 1:00 to 3:00 PM. We will celebrate Steve and his love of family, travel, reading, racquetball, camping, canoeing, and the North Shore. Charitable donations honoring Steve may be offered to Struthers Parkinson’s Center, 6701 Country Club Dr., Minneapolis 55427.
Our lives were better because we knew him. His care and love will remain with us always.
