Roxy Benjamin
March 24, 1948 - October 16, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Roxana Mary Benjamin on October 16, 2026, at the age of 78. Born March 24, 1948, in Kranzburg, South Dakota, Roxy lived a life rich in love, laughter, and dedication to family and community. Roxy was the daughter of Wilfred and Rosella Kranz, who instilled in her a strong sense of family and community. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Aarron Todd, her brother, David Kranz, and her parents. Roxy leaves behind her loving husband of 55 years, Mark; her son, Joshua, and his wife, Holly; and her treasured granddaughters, Hazel and Millie. She is also survived by her brother, Ken Kranz, and his wife, Colleen and sister Cindy Kranz and husband Doug Hladke.
Roxy and Mark's love story began with a blind date on New Year's Eve 1970, culminating in a beautiful marriage on October 2, 1971. Throughout her vibrant life, Roxy excelled in numerous professional roles. She was the general manager of the Amluxen Company, a director of the NHCC Alumni Foundation, a partner and editor of the Northwest News community paper, and the assistant to the president of Industrial Fabrics (Clear Edge Filtration). Her career was a testament to her dedication and tireless work ethic. Roxy had a passion for sewing, gardening, and creating meals with her family. Roxy deeply cherished her sons and adored her granddaughters. Roxy possessed an innate ability to connect with others, whether offering warm congratulations, a sympathetic shoulder, or simply an open ear.
A celebration of Roxy's life will be held on October 26, with a 9:30 visitation followed by mass at 10:30 a.m. at St Vincent De Paul. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman whose kindness and spirit touched all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Roxy's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, in support of their ongoing efforts to battle the ruthless disease that Roxy bravely fought for four years.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Maranatha Care Center for their loving care over the past three years, and to Optage, whose support was invaluable during this time.
Roxy's radiant spirit and boundless love will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she gave so freely.
