January 12, 1943 - March 26, 2025

Roberta Pauline Shamory, 82, of Dayton, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on March 26th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 12th,1943 at her mother’s house in Fairmount, Indiana. Roberta was the daughter of Paul Reismiller and Barbara Line.

Roberta grew up in Fairmount, Indiana and graduated from Fairmount High School in 1961. She also attended Marion College after graduating high school. On July 15th,1967, she married Edward Shamory, who she had met in Fairmount. Together they shared 58 years of marriage.

Roberta worked for the Civil Service and the IRS for over 20 years. Following her retirement, Roberta and her husband, Ed, enjoyed embroidering, cross stitching, and crocheting several projects that they sold at craft fairs. She loved to read and would finish a book on her kindle in 3 days time.

Roberta is survived by her husband, Ed; daughter, Dawn (Ken) Turner; grandchildren, Carys (Collin Madden) and Karli Turner; and her brothers, Will (Susie) Listenfelt and Eddie (Linda) Listenfelt; and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Reismiller and Barbara Line and in-laws, Leo and Hazel Shamory.

Roberta’s life will be celebrated by close friends and family together, and they intend to remember and honor her legacy everyday after that.
