Robert “Bob” Brinkman

January 10, 1945 - August 9, 2025

Robert “Bob” Brinkman, age 80, of Brooklyn Park, passed away on August 9, 2025. Born in Minneapolis, Bob was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and longtime teacher and coach in the Robbinsdale School District, where he inspired students and athletes for 30 years.
He loved sports, golfing with his wife and friends, time at the lake fishing with his brother, playing fantasy football with his kids, and cheering on his grandkids in everything they did.
Bob is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Derek (Courtney) and their children, Logan and Taylor; daughter, Stacy (Eric Kramer); brother, Paul (Jan); sister, Karen Hagman; and many friends and former students.
A celebration of life will be held on October 25, 2025 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brooklyn Park, MN. The visitation will be held at 10AM and the service will begin at 11AM. There will be a light lunch following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association or the American Lung Association in Bob’s honor.
