Obituary for Richard T. "Dick" Hartfiel

Richard T "Dick" Hartfiel., of Brooklyn Park, was escorted by angels to an eternal life with the Lord on Thursday, March 28, 2019, age 77.

Preceded in death by parents, Chuck and Millie Hartfiel and brother, Jerry.

Survived by his teenage sweetheart and wife of 55 years, Carolyn; children, Michael (Julie), Judi (Ron) Evans, Barbara (Kirk) McCloud and Bobbie (Lowell) Dahlke; grandchildren, Zachary, Easton, Alaska, Arianna Evans and Kendalyn Dahlke; four of the best friends a kid could ask for: Gary, Gary, Pat and Lee; and his brother and sister.

Raised in Minneapolis, he joined the Army soon after graduating from high school. After four years of serving the US, he delivered mail for the United States Post Office where he proudly worked his way up the ranks and retired 30 years later.

Nieces, nephews, cousins and friends are invited to celebrate his life at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Church of St. Gerard Majella, 9600 Regent Ave Brooklyn Park, followed by a service at 11 a.m. and a luncheon.
