Richard Ronald Krohn

Richard Ronald Krohn passed away peacefully in his home on September 5, 2025 at the age of 85.

He is survived by his  wife of 63 years, Bernice Krohn and daughters, Konnie Kretlow (James) and Kelly Gonsowski (Joel).

He was born in Plato, MN in August 1940.

His childhood home in Plato instilled a lifelong passion for hunting, baseball, and truck driving.

Richard and Bernice met in 1961 shortly after Richard was honorably discharged from the US Navy.

Together they built a successful trucking business, Northwest Delivery.  In retirement, they both enjoyed traveling, especially in the winter months.

Spending time with family and friends gave Richard great joy in his life. He was an avid bowler and played in tournaments in all 50 states. Going to the Senior Center in Rogers to socialize and play cards, were the highlight of his later years.

In addition to his 2 daughters, Richard leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Krohn and Hilda Krohn and brothers, David, Donald, Harlan and Kenneth.

A Celebration of Richard's life will be held at Word of Peace Lutheran Church 21705 129th Ave. N., Rogers, Minnesota 55374 on Saturday September 13, 2025. Visitation at 10 AM and service at 11 AM.

Private Internment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
