Richard Edward Love

Born November 11, 1937, died October 25, 2025, aged 87.  Preceded in death by  grandfather Dr. T. J. Jensen; father J. Edward Love,  mother Eleanore Jensen Love, brother-in-law Hap Howard, and grandson Wesley Richard Martindale. 

Survived by wife of 66 years Lee (Leilani) Isaacson Kohlts Love, brother Tom (Jeannine) Love, of Duluth; sister, Carol Howard, in Mesa;  brothers- in-law Stan (Barb) Kohlts, of Duluth; Arnie (Judy) Isaacson, of Moose Lake;  Sister-in-law Donna(Scott) Horngren, of Duluth;  daughter, Melissa (Wayne) Aitken, of Vadnais Heights;  son Daniel (Tonya) Love, of Elk River;  three grandchildren, Hannah (Nick) Love, Isaiah and special friend Kasey, and Josie (Kyle) Jung,  two great grandchildren, Grace and Henry Love and many nieces and nephews.

All his growing up years and through college he worked at Interstate Rug Cleaners owned by his father.  A proud graduate of Duluth Denfeld’s Class of 1955. Ricky became a skilled water skier on Pike Lake just north of Duluth. He was a proud member of the DPA, and he was a Scottish Rite Mason like his father.  After receiving his accounting degree from UMD he moved his family to “The Cities” and was certified as a CPA and began enjoying suburban life in Brooklyn Center on 66^th Avenue with  many good neighbors.  In 1976 Richard relocated his family to Maple Grove, MN. and began to enjoy country living in Maple Grove where he was often seen planting trees, operating his Ford 8N tractor, and walking in Elm Creek with his best friend Rich Grugal .

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25^th at 10:00 A.M.  Celebration of Life at 11:00 at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home in Osseo, Minnesota; 34 2^nd St. N.E. with a luncheon at Osseo-Maple Grove American Legion, Post 172; 260 4^th Ave, S.E. Osseo, 55369.
