Randy Knapp
October 8, 1982 - September 12, 2025
Randy G. Knapp, 42 of Rogers, MN died on Friday, Sept. 12, 2025. He was born on Oct. 8, 1982 to Jerry and Linda Knapp.
Growing up Randy cared very much about doing his share of work on the farm. He was involved in 4-H events and showing cattle. He attended Mary Queen of Peace (then St. Martin's) for grade school and graduated from Elk River Area High School.
Randy loved to hang out with family and attended ball games. He was a huge Twins and Vikings fan. He could easily recall players' stats and dates. He loved talking sports.
Randy became a father in 2006. Makayla quickly became the love of his life. He stayed on the farm to raise her and provided stability. He worked various types of jobs but mainly was the go to guy on the farm.
Randy was a master at building a bonfire. He would attend to it all day up at the cabin. He enjoyed messing with his nephews and niece throughout the years. Randy was usually at the bottom of a hog-pile.
Randy was a member of the Knights of Columbus council 11941. He held many positions and received Knight of the year 2025 for the Rogers council and for the state of Minnesota.
He was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in 2022. The farm sold shortly after and Randy started volunteering more at Mary Queen of Peace where he spent a lot of his time. Giving of his time at church and school became his true purpose. This Spring he was chosen and was honored to receive the Legacy Award for his generosity and dedication to Mary Queen of Peace.
Randy will truly be missed for being a genuine, helpful, humble and lovable guy.
