Norman "Norm" Lerbs
October 8, 1932 - October 5, 2026
Norman William Lerbs, of Osseo, passed away at home on October 5, 2026, just days shy of his 94th birthday. First born child of William and Alice Lerbs on October 8, 1932, in Carlos Township, MN.
He married the love of his life, BerNelda Brechbiel, in 1952. They spent 64 wonderful years together and raised a family they were proud of.
Norman was drafted and served as a cook/baker in the US Army from April 1953 to April 1955. He served with the 106th Tank Battalion at Fort Lewis, Washington where he received the rank of Corporal.
After returning from the Army, he worked a handful of miscellaneous jobs before landing a position with Honeywell. He retired in 1992, after 33 years of dedicated service.
Norm always had a deep love for the natural world where he would encourage everyone to slow down and observe their surroundings. He enjoyed anything and everything outdoors from fishing and canoeing, to bird watching, to rescuing injured animals, to spending time in both his vegetable and flower gardens. This passion was backed by his decades of time spent as a Scout Leader and also as a Merit Badge Counselor with the Boy Scouts.
He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, and siblings. Survived by his 6 sons, Corey (Marianne), Arden (Jackie), Wayde (Amy), Kolin, Darin (Sue), and Galen (Kim); 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
