December 5, 1936 - February 24, 2026
Nan Patricia (McGuire) Wineman passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on February 24, 2026, at 89 years of age.
Nan was born on December 5, 1936, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Joseph “Earl” and Marcella (Cournia) McGuire. One of eleven proud Irish siblings, Nan grew up surrounded by family, faith, and love.
In 1956, she married the love of her life, Gerald Wineman. Married for 69 years, the two remained rooted in the Twin Cities area, where they built a life and family she cherished. Nan worked at Murphy Insurance Agency in Minneapolis, where she met her closest friend, Mary Stanchfield.
Following retirement, she and her husband wintered in Weslaco, Texas, for over 20 years, playing shuffleboard and forming lasting friendships. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, reading, watching Wheel of Fortune, throwing dice, playing 500, and cheering on the Vikings. Family and friends will forever cherish the memories made with Nan around the pool. She had a gift for making everyone feel like part of the family, and she will be deeply missed by many.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Wineman; her children, Stephen Wineman (Vicki), Susan (Daniel) Fehlberg, Thomas Wineman, and Maureen (Magoo) Boyer; her grandchildren, Christopher Hauk, Angela Fehlberg, Jennifer Fehlberg, Daniel Fehlberg (Angela Cich), Gerald Wineman, Joshua Beasley, Jack Boyer, and Skye Boyer; her great-grandsons, Jacob Logid and Oliver Hauk; her great-granddaughter, Zelda; her brother, Paul McGuire; as well as many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved granddaughter, Brandi Sue; her brothers, Joseph McGuire and John McGuire; and her sisters, Dolores Klug, Rita Tobias, Pat (Mercogliano) Finch, Maxine Powley, Mary Ann Monaco, Maureen Ring, and Michele Edwards.
The family would like to offer their sincere thanks to the entire team at Park Nicollet Hospice, especially her primary nurse, Melissa, for the care, dedication, and kindness shown to our mother in her final months.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions to Park Nicollet Hospice.
