Born December 31, 1959 and passed away March 18, 2022. Michael was born in Plentywood, Montana, grew up in Iowa & passed away at home in Big Lake, Minnesota. Preceded in death by his parents, Barb & Larry Pals; sister, Karen Pals; grandparents, Ada & Weston Hughes, William & Gertrude Pals; & many aunts & uncles. Survived by his wife of 25 years, Patty; daughters, Courtney Skomars (John), Amanda Pals (Zach) & step-daughter, Brei Hauser (Kyle); grandchildren, Collin, Christine, Jason, Daxxon & Hadley; brother, Brian (Jan) Pals; sister, Cindy (Mike); & many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews. Celebration of life 11 AM Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 2nd St. NE, Osseo, MN 55369 with visitation one hour prior (beginning at 10 AM). Luncheon at the Osseo American Legion, 260 4th Ave. SE., Osseo, MN 55369. In lieu of Flowers, donations to the family are preferred.

Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023. I can’t say enough positive things about all aspects of my interactions with them. They reached out to help every step of the way—from planning the Celebration of Life service, the service itself, and after care contact. Brittney was the person I primarily worked with. She was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, organized, and had great communication skills, which greatly helped in reducing my stress level. I plan to contact Evans-Nordby soon to pre-plan my own final arrangements.
