Melvin Young

Age 84, of Brooklyn Park, passed away peacefully on September 28^th, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin & Chloe; sister, Belle Smith; & 2 brothers.He is survived in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Joyce; children, Rick (Deb), Caryn (Rick) Smasal, Sandra (Dean) Holt & Bob; grandchildren, Heather, Dylan, Justin, Reed & Jade; great-grandson, Lachlyn. Melvin proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.Memorial Service 7PM Tuesday, October 09, 2018 Evans-Nordby Funeral Home (34 2^nd St. NE, Osseo) with visitation one-hour prior.Private interment is on Wednesday, October 10^th, 2018 at Fort Snelling.In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to donor’s choice.The family would like to thank the staff at St. Therese Health Care Center & North Memorial Hospice Care.
