Obituary for Melton "Milt" Blomquist
Melton "Milt" Blomquist, age 96 of Brooklyn Center. Melton was born April 14, 1922 in Hallock, MN, the son of Sigvert & Annie (Sjostrand) Blomquist. He attended a country elementary school and Hallock High School.
On October 24, 1950, he was united in marriage to Adeline Mckibbin in Hallock and moved to Minneapolis, where he worked at FMC Corp. He was a charter member of Lutheran Church of the Master in Brooklyn Center, MN and remained a member up to his passing.
Preceded in death by wife, Adeline; parents, Sigvert & Annie; brother, Alden Blomquist; 3 sisters, Marvelle Hermanson, Joyce Foster, Jane Backstrom.
He is survived by sons Myles (Beth), Randy (Deb) and Craig (Nancy); 7
grandchildren, Joelle, Blake, Sean, Ryan, Chad, Angie and Aaron; 7 great-grandchildren; and sister, Audrey Swanberg.
Funeral service Friday, 4/20/2018, 2 PM,
Lutheran Church of the Master, 1200 69th Ave N., Brooklyn Center,
with visitation 1 hr. prior to service.
In lieu of flowers memorial preferred to donor’s choice.
