Melissa S. Noonan

Noonan, Melissa S. age 58, of Brooklyn Center, MN.

Melissa was born in Minneapolis, MN on April 22, 1967. She was adopted by Francis & Joan Noonan of Brooklyn Center, MN on May 31st, 1967.

Melissa was baptized at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church & was a life-long member. She attended grade school at St. Alphonsus Catholic School & graduated from Totino Grace High School in Fridley, MN in 1985.

Melissa had various work experiences at Kmart during high school in Brooklyn Center and then in Kissimmee, Florida where she trained for 2 years at the Southeastern Academy (for airline training). Her career training led her to work 29 years for United Airlines in customer service, at the gates, in baggage & even de-icing planes which was her favorite job—being above the planes! Melissa was a world traveler and never afraid to venture to new countries on her own. Her last workplaces were at Cub Foods & Hy-Vee in Brooklyn Center & Brooklyn Park, MN.

She was diagnosed with ALS in January of 2024 & fought a courageous battle. Her day-to-day positive attitude & spirit was always followed by her beautiful smile & laugh. Melissa passed away on 3-26-26 at Homeward Bound, Winnetka House, New Hope, MN., surrounded with loved ones, under the care of Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church & the ALS Association.

Melissa is preceded in death-father, Francis. Survived by mother, Joan.
