Megan Denise (Mullen) Taylor

Megan Denise (Mullen) Taylor, age 31, was tragically taken from us on June 13, 2026. She was the only victim who died in a senseless mass shooting that left 3 other people injured, including her husband, who was shot seven times.

Megan was the first daughter born to Willis Christopher Mullen, Jr and Theresa Kaye (Halliday) Mullen on October 23, 1994. She was a protective big sister to her younger siblings and adored by her big bother Matthew. Megan had a fun-loving sense of humor and lived a life filled with kindness towards those she loved. She was a devoted mother of 4 beautiful children.

Megan graduated from Summit Academy in Carpentry and became an award-winning construction worker before leaving that occupation to spend more time with her growing family. The construction project she was most proud of was the new Vikings US Bank Stadium. She proudly boasted, “I helped build that!” Megan was also a talented, aspiring singer and song writer.

Megan was preceded in death by her mother Theresa Mullen who passed away when Megan was only 6 years old. Left to mourn her passing: her husband, Allen Dominic Taylor, Jr, her father Willis Christopher Mullen Jr, her children Harmony Little, Madisyn Morgan, Jaxyn Mullen and Dakari Taylor, her brothers Matthew Halliday and Jonathan Mullen, her sisters, Sergeant Monica Mullen (U.S. Army), Staff Sergeant Jaqueline Mullen (U.S. Army), Chantice Mullen-Harston and Amari Johnson, her grandmother (her Uma) Loretta Blanchey (Raymond), her grandfather (Papa) Willis Mullen, Sr. and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Urban Refuge Church, 5001 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis MN, on Friday, June 26 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.
