Matthew Richard Modrow of Crystal, MN was born on April 9, 1977 and died unexpectedly on Monday, March 16, 2026. Matt was raised in Champlin, MN and graduated from Champlin Park high in 1995. Matt worked for the past 21 years for the Minneapolis Postal Service. Matt was a very likeable guy and made many good friends throughout his life. Matt had a really big heart. Unfortunately, he lost his battle with mental illness.

Matt was preceded in death by his grandparents, an aunt and an uncle.

Matt is survived by his parents Sheldon and Connie Modrow of Champlin, his brother Joe Modrow of Coon Rapids, his girlfriend Shae Nicholson of New Hope, God parents Ruth and Greg Modrow as well as all his uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Anoka, MN on Friday, March 27 at 11:00am with visitation beginning at 9:30am prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).
