Mary Anne Murphy

Mary Anne Murphy, age 85, of Crystal.

A lifelong resident of Minnesota, Mary Anne was the cherished matriarch of her family.

In her younger years, she enjoyed skiing. She was a talented seamstress, crafting clothes and various items that will be fondly remembered by her family. Her green thumb and love for animals shaped her everyday life; she spent countless hours tending to her garden, rescuing cats, and even feeding the squirrels and raccoons that visited her yard.

Mary Anne often hosted the family gatherings that left everyone well fed. Her willingness to lend a hand endeared her to all who knew her.

Mary Anne is preceded in death by her daughters, Bridget and Patricia; her parents, Mary Helen and Harold Jorgensen; and her brothers, Charles and Dick Jorgensen.

She is survived by her children Jeanne, Steve, and Dan; her loving grandchildren, and dear family and friends.

A celebration of Mary Anne's life will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 1:30 PM at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, located at 34 2nd St. NE, Osseo. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to Furball Farms, honoring Mary Anne's love for cats.
