Marlys L. Hanson, age 92, of Brooklyn Center. Marlys was born and raised in Grantsburg, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Hanson; parents, Albin and Esther (Johnson) Lindquist; siblings, Roy (Delores) Lindquist, Ardis (Lloyd) Swanberg, Hazel (Lloyd) Thor and Robert Lindquist. Marlys will be deeply missed by her children, Patti Gronquist and Jeff (Barb) Hanson; grandchildren, Kyle (Lisa) Hanson, Brett (Tina) Gronquist, Kari (Luke) Plowman and Joe (Michelle) Gronquist; 8 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Ruby Lindquist; and other loving relatives and friends.
Service 11 AM Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Hope Lutheran Church, 5200 Emerson Ave. N., Minneapolis., with visitation 1 hour prior to service at church. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Our son recently passed away and of course you never expect to have to deal with this for your children so my wife and I were not only devastated but didn’t know what to do or where to turn next. Evans-Nordby was recommended to us by our Priest and I’m so glad he did. From the moment I talked to Tina on the phone I could tell we were in good hands as she took care of every detail. We met with her the next day and she went through all the aspects of what we were to expect in the coming days, weeks, then months ahead.
