Lucille "Lu" Harris (Grams) age 76 of Brooklyn Center formerly of St. Cloud, MN, passed away from complications of pancreatic cancer on March 1st, 2019.
Lu was born September 20th, 1942 in Saint Cloud, Minnesota to Bernard and Margaret Grams. She married Gale Harris June 18th, 1966 at Holy Spirit Church in Saint Cloud.
Lu enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, working for John Hancock and Allied Plastics as well as being a homemaker during her kids’ early years. In retirement she enjoyed playing cards with the local card club, baking which included decorating Christmas cookies with her grandchildren and cheering them on at their sporting events. She was also a devoted MN Vikings fan!
She is survived by her husband (Gale) and two children, Robin and James (Jaclyn), grandchildren Damon and Kira Harris, sister Darlene and brother Leroy as well as many loving sister in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Lu was preceded in death by her father Bernard and mother Margaret as well as several aunts, uncles, in-laws and friends.Preceded in death by her father Bernard and mother, Margaret Grams of St. Cloud.
Visitation 6:30-8PM Friday, 3/8 at Evans-Norby Funeral Home, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center. Celebration of Life, 11AM Saturday, 3/9 at St. Alphonsus Parish, 7025 Halifax Ave, Brooklyn Center with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service at church. Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023. I can’t say enough positive things about all aspects of my interactions with them. They reached out to help every step of the way—from planning the Celebration of Life service, the service itself, and after care contact. Brittney was the person I primarily worked with. She was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, organized, and had great communication skills, which greatly helped in reducing my stress level. I plan to contact Evans-Nordby soon to pre-plan my own final arrangements.
