Obituary for Linda Sue Meyer

Linda Sue (Larson) Meyer, age 71, of Rogers, Minnesota left our world on November 26, 2017.

Linda was born on May 19, 1946, to Evald and Rosemary Larson in Ramona, South Dakota. On June 19, 1965, she married Bernie Meyer. Together, they raised three children in Milbank, South Dakota – Jeff Meyer of Richfield, MN, Monica (Meyer) & Rob Schaeffer of Rogers, MN, and Holly (Meyer) & Eric Finstad of Rogers, MN.

Linda thoroughly enjoyed life. Some of her favorite things to do were quilting, reading, watching movies, playing cards with her church ladies and spending any amount of time with her siblings. She lit up a room with her smile and her giggle was infectious.

However, her most cherished times were with her grandchildren: Samantha (Meyer) Schulte, Steven Meyer, Alex Finstad, Hannah Finstad, Meghan Schaeffer and Mathew Schaeffer. Most conversations with Linda were about her grandkids. They brought a smile to her face and a twinkle in her eye that warmed her heart.

Linda was surrounded by her children and grandchildren when she left us on Sunday, November 26, 2017. She is survived by her 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter; siblings: Darlene Palmer, David Larson, Russell Larson, Pam Athey, Cathy Larson, Leslie Keehn and numerous friends and family. She is preceded in death by her sister, Connie Larson, and her parents, Evald Larson, and Robert and Rosemary Boester.

I highly recommend the team at Evans Nordby. This past weekend, they assisted as we buried my mom. Twelve years ago, they assisted as we buried my dad. Brittney and the staff are so comforting, easy to work with and compassionate. They make every decision simple, and the whole process as painless as possible. I am so happy that we chose this funeral home, and encourage you to consider using them in your time of need.
