Obituary for Leroy Alexander

Leroy Alexander, 65, of Brooklyn Park, went to be with Jesus on May 18, 2023.

Leroy was born on April 4, 1958 in Rocky Mt, NC.

As a youngster, he went to school in NC and NJ. He was an avid sports fan; in college he played basketball for North Carolina Tarhills. From there he went into the Military where he continued playing basketball and was a helicopter mechanic.

He moved to MN in 90’s where he helped start up a charter school. For the last 20 years he has been working at Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology as a Maintenance Supervisor.

Leroy was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved to cook! His passion was to feed people.

He was preceded in death by his parents, aunt Rose, and his daughter Tiahna.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters, three grandkids and multiple cousins.

Funeral Service 11 AM Friday, May 26, 2023, at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Center, with visitation 6-8 PM Thursday, May 25, 2023, and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday.

Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023.
