Leonard “Butch” Krause, age 80, of Maple Grove, passed away peacefully at home November 15, 2016

.Len appreciated “the good stuff”. He was an outdoors-man who loved fishing, hunting and being with his buddies. His fish fries were legendary! Len’s garden was always a source of pride and he enjoyed sharing with others. Len spent years helping young men in Boy Scouts achieve their Eagle Scout status. Later in life, Len took up woodworking and created beautiful heirloom pieces for his family. He and Joyce were long time winter residents of the Tiki community on South Padre Island, Texas. Leonard was a 38 year employee of NSP, retiring in 1994

Preceded in death by father, Leonard Krause; mother, Charlotte; stepfather, Sal Dmohoski and brother, Dave Dmohoski.

As a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather he is survived by wife, Joyce; children, Lorri Balder (Gerry), Eva Krause, Carla Gorman (Joe), Barbara Valeri (Marc) (and their mother, Roma Egli), Jill Holt, Sue Wilson (Sharon), and Dean Holt (Sandy); 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren (with 2 more to come in 2017); siblings, Tom Dmohoski (Karen), Diane Egan (Tom), Ellen Stern (Steve), and Steve Dmohoski (Tami); and other family and many friends.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Monday, November 21, at The Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 9100 93rd Ave. N., Brooklyn Park, with visitation 1 hour prior to mass. Interment at a later date. Memorials preferred to donor’s choice.
