LaVerne Clara Weber (nee Greeninger)

LaVerne Clara Weber (nee Greeninger), age 89, of Brooklyn Center, passed away peacefully March 21, 2018. LaVerne was born on March 1, 1929 in Otsego, MN to Alex and Leona (nee Roden) Greeninger. She graduated from St. Benedicts High School and was married to Gilbert Weber at St. Walburga’s Church in Fletcher, MN on September 9, 1953. She was a dedicated member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church for 59 years. LaVerne worked for L.S. Donaldson Company, Malco Company and was a cook for St. Alphonsus School. She enjoyed gardening, canning, going for walks and spending treasured time with her grandchildren. Her famous Special K Bars were a favorite of family and friends.

Survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Gilbert; children, Karon (James) Kolles, Ronald (Teresa) Weber and Mark (Lisa) Weber; grandchildren, Brent, Matthew (Karen), John (Ashley), Rochelle, Janelle (Alex), Brad and Erica; great-grandchildren, Heidi and Nathan; siblings, Marie, Rosemary, Vernon (Celine), Alma, Irene, Donna and Carol (Dan); sisters-in-law, Florence Greeninger, Inge Greeninger and Elva Weber.

Preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Leona Greeninger; siblings, Shirley Ann, Bernard, Erwin and Eugene.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Tuesday, March 27 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (7025 Halifax Ave N.) with visitation one-hour prior. Inurnment at St. Walburga’s Cemetery in Fletcher, MN.
