Obituary for Kathleen "Kathy" Nassif

Kathleen Ann Nassif (Kathy) aka Lovie, age 69 of Maple Grove , MN passed away unexpectedly in her home; on the morning of May 19, 2018. It was confirmed her death was due to natural causes.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 9th at 12:00 p.m. at the Osseo American Legion. A luncheon will follow. The funeral arrangements are being handle by Evans-Nordby of Osseo.

Kathy was born in Minneapolis on September 1, 1948. She graduated from North High School and from there went on to marry and raise her family, Tammy Ann, Tj , and Scott. Many years later, (when the boys were in school) she went back to work as a waitress at Perkins where she worked for over 20 years!!

Kathy was married to the love of her life, Thom, on February 2, 1968. They had just recently celebrated 50 years together with a surprise by the family! Kathy was all ways hosting a BBQ or attending a kids or grandkids event. Kathy loved her family and was so proud of them all. She was also a HUGE Elvis fan if you knew Kathy -that was very clear! Kathy enjoyed her pets. Her Many cats over the years and her late Rottweiler pup Jackson. Kathy enjoyed her late nights and staying up checking on “the good things” Facebook had to offer, and you would not be surprised to find her at the casino with her bestie on any given Saturday afternoon. She loved her slots!! Kathy was so very loved and valued she will truly be missed.

Kathy is survived by husband Thom. Children Tammy Ann (Sean), Tj (Melanie), and Scott. Grandchildren, Tiffany (Alex), Bailey (Jacob) , Maiya, Hailey, Laila, Jacob and Dylan. Great-grandchildren Chase and Paislee. Mother Margaret Rako and brother John “Jack” Rako. Her God Daughter’s Nadia (Nassif) Hauger and Tracy Parks. Many other nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends and family members.

Kathy is preceded in death by her father John Raymond Rako.
