Kathleen "Cathy" Brom

July 6, 1943 - May 24, 2025

Kathleen "Cathy" Brom, nee Mart, died peacefully at her home on May 24th after a series of illnesses weakened her. She was 81 years old.

A graduate of St. Margaret's Academy and St. Cloud School of Nursing, she worked at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Minneapolis, Metropolitan Medical Center, and Hazelden Center for Youth and Families. She also spent a year in the Bahamas serving as a public health nurse for the Benedictine Mission in Nassau.

A devout Catholic, she was active in many ministries in her parish while raising six children. She was also a friend of Bill for 37 years.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, David; children, Suzanne Skiles (Damon), Patrick (Claire), Christopher (Lisa), Daniel, Erin Brom England (Joe), Mary Gretz; as well as twelve grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gerard's Catholic Church in Brooklyn Park on Friday, May 30th, at 11 AM with visitation beginning at 10 AM.

Special thanks to the Allina hospice staff. Memorials preferred to the New Hope Alano.
