John David Mallery, age 74 of Champlin, MN passed away on May 3, 2026. John was born on May 30, 1951 in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania to Gordon & Katherine Mallery. He was a proud veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He and his wife, Dianne, who was also a Vietnam veteran, were very active in the American Legion. John enjoyed hunting at his Sebeka, MN deer camp as well as his annual fishing trip with friends in Minaki, Canada.

John is preceded in death by parents, Gordon & Kathryn Mallery; his brothers Carl and Alan Mallery; and his beloved wife, Dianne.

He is survived by children, Rebecca and Robert; grandchildren, Tyler (Emily) Sandvig, Lyric Mallery and Chord Pagel; his sisters, Norma and Brenda; and his 3 great-grandchildren Cameron, Sienna and Hudson Sandvig.

Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 11AM, please arrive 15 minutes prior to the interment time. Follow the signs to the 2nd entrance gate and once inside the gate, assembly lanes will be on the left. Please pull into Assembly Lane #4 and drive to the end of the end of the lane to wait for the cemetery representative.
