John was a proud co-owner and manager of Market Tire until his retirement in 2007. John’s father was called from La Crosse, WI to begin a mission church in Brooklyn Center in 1956. He grew up at this church, Cross of Glory Lutheran, and never left his loving congregational family. John was a diehard Twins, Vikings, and Gophers fan. He enjoyed time spent at the lake home in Maple Lake and was devoted to his family, especially his grandchildren (who helped establish “John’s Daycare”). John will be missed by many.

Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023. I can’t say enough positive things about all aspects of my interactions with them. They reached out to help every step of the way—from planning the Celebration of Life service, the service itself, and after care contact. Brittney was the person I primarily worked with. She was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, organized, and had great communication skills, which greatly helped in reducing my stress level. I plan to contact Evans-Nordby soon to pre-plan my own final arrangements.
