John D. Russell, age 86 of Brooklyn Center. Survived by loving wife, Betty; children, Greg (Louise), Steve (Suzanne), Gail (Kent) Griffith, Chris (Heidi); grandchildren, Matthew, Sara, Patrick (Caitlin), John, Megan, Kylie, Grace, Jessica (Scott), Jason (Linnea), Emily (Dan) Mara, Annika, Svea; great-grandchildren: Reecelyn, Macie, Thomas, Arianna; and many loving extended family & friends. Preceded in death by his parents, all of his siblings and his grandson Jeremy Griffith.

Funeral Service 5PM Friday, April 13, 2018 at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center with visitation from 3-5PM at the funeral home. Memorials preferred.

The family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care the staff of St. Therese of New Hope and AseraCare Hospice provided John during his final months.
