Obituary for JoEllyn Rucke

JoEllyn Rucke (Luger), age 72, passed away on October 18, 2020. Preceded in death by parents, Eugene and Maxine. Survived by children Jennifer (Ken) Koss and Jackie (Shannon) McNamara; and grandchildren Ryan, Evan, Alison, Jack, Megan, Lauren and Hope. JoEllyn was a graduate of HIll-Murray High School and cherished her career as a nurse. She worked in the areas of Family Medicine, Oncology and her absolute favorite, Pediatrics. Upon retiring, Grandma “Jo-Jo” loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and providing care for friends and family. Family and friends meant everything to JoEllyn. She spent her life giving herself selflessly to anyone that needed her love and support. Family gatherings were energized by her smile, sense of humor and love for conversation. We will miss her relentless love, fierce advocacy and compassion for others. She was the best mom and grandma and we were lucky to be in her presence. We will champion her legacy of unconditional love. During this time of Covid, a private family visitation and funeral will be held on Thursday, October 22nd, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 9100 93rd Ave N., Brooklyn Park. Interment at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery on Friday, October 23rd.
