JoAnne Moses

JoAnne M. Moses, age 73, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Ogilvie MN on June 19th, 2025.

JoAnne grew up in Plymouth Minnesota with her parents and four siblings. JoAnne was actively involved in Girl Scouts as a young girl. She graduated from Wayzata High School in 1970. She went on to get married, and raised her two children in Maple Grove Minnesota. She worked for the United States Post Office and retired after 20+ years.

JoAnne remarried later in life and they enjoyed Caribbean cruises and spending time with family and grandchildren.

Her hobbies through the years include water skiing, bon fires, baking, knitting, fostering dogs, puzzles, diamond art, Mothers Camp, watching Judge Judy and having lunch with friends.

She loved family gatherings around the holidays, Christmas in July reunions, celebrating birthdays and sending greeting cards for all occasions.

JoAnne’s favorite place to be was at her cabin. She loved watching the lake, feeding the hummingbirds and orioles and yelling at squirrels to get off the feeders! She would often say, I just love it here, it’s so peaceful.

What JoAnne valued most was her family, friends and her sobriety. Sober since 10/12/2014.

She will be remembered as a kind, thoughtful and caring mother, sister and friend. She will be missed by many.

JoAnne is preceded in death by her parents, Manny and Mary Johnson, and first former spouse Lon. She is survived by her children, Luke (Tina) and Kaye; her siblings Carol, Ron, Sue and Barb; second former spouse Jerry and extended family members and many friends.

The Celebration of Life Service is at 7 PM Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Evans Nordby Funeral Home, 34 2nd St. NE, Osseo with visitation from 6-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to animal rescue groups in JoAnne’s name are preferred.
