Obituary for Jeffrey Nadeau

Jeffrey Lawrence Nadeau, 75, of Rogers, MN passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 3, 2024 after a brief battle with cancer.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Gayle Nadeau of Big Lake, MN and his brother Ned Nadeau. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Fisher) Nadeau, their children Danielle (Paul) Fischer, Noelle (Aaron) Brockmeier, Blair (Heather) Nadeau, and Abby (Dan) Dehmer; 11 grandchildren: Natalie and John Fischer, Lauren, Elijah, and Micah Brockmeier, Otis and Ethan Nadeau, Greta, Isla, Theo, and Brooks Dehmer. Jeff will be dearly missed by his brothers, sister, and many nieces and nephews.

Jeff was born on May 6th, 1949 in Minneapolis, MN. He grew up on the family farm in Big Lake, MN and graduated from Big Lake High School in 1967. He met his wife of 51 years, Barbara while the two spent their college years at Bemidji State University. Jeff and Barb were married on June 9th, 1973 in Virginia, MN and the couple settled in their current home in Corcoran, MN. Jeff spent 39 years working for FABCON as a sales engineer selling and building large commercial properties throughout the midwest. In his freetime he became a dedicated member of the Rogers Lions Club, he enjoyed playing volleyball with friends, and going to all his children’s activities. In retirement, he and Barb welcomed 11 grandchildren (Grandpa Jeff was the name he enjoyed hearing the most), built and enjoyed their cabin on Lake Esquagamah near Aitkin, MN, wood working in the garage, and volunteering with the Lions and the Knights of Columbus. In addition, Jeff was instrumental in building the Parish Life Center for the Mary Queen of Peace parish in Rogers, MN.

Visitation from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, August 8 at Mary Queen of Peace Parish Life Center, 21304 Church Ave., Rogers, MN 55374. Private funeral service for immediate family and close friends will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 9th at the Oratory Church of St. Walburga, in Fletcher, MN.

The Nadeau family would like to extend their most heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kristen Hasson in ICU, Kristin Babine-Dinnen in Palliative Care, and the many 6West ICU nurses.

Memorials are preferred to Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church and CROSS Services in Rogers, MN.
