Jeffrey Donald Mangen, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2026. Born on January 21, 1956, Jeff grew up in St. Paul and spent much of his life in Minneapolis, most recently residing in Brooklyn Center with his wife.

Jeff worked for many years as a butcher, including at Lowry’s Foods in North Minneapolis and Lloyd’s Barbeque. His work reflected his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family. Outside of work, Jeff enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening, and scrapping, and he loved spending time with family and friends. Whether sharing stories, lending a hand, or simply enjoying the company of those around him, Jeff valued the relationships in his life.

Jeff was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He married his beloved wife, Karen, in 1981, and together they built a life centered around family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marion Mangen, and his brothers, Bob and Ted Mangen.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; their son, JJ; his cherished grandchildren, Kane Mangen and Nickai Gavin; and beloved pets, Rocky, Sasha, and Cookie. Jeff took great pride in his family and treasured the time he spent with them.

Jeff will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love for the outdoors, and the time he spent with the people who mattered most to him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday April 11, 2026 at 3PM at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

After the service, family and friends are invited to continue sharing memories and celebrating Jeff’s life at Lynde’s Restaurant & Catering 209 County Rd 81, Osseo, MN 55369
