Jeanette Corinne Elias Rem

Jeanette Corinne Elias Rem, age 63, of Maple Grove, Minnesota, returned to God on December 17, 2025 in her home surrounded by her family. 

She was born on Saturday, February 4, 1962 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Stockton, California to Benjamin and Guillermina Elias. She graduated Fresno State University in 1984 with a degree in Advertising. She was a member of the 2012 Catechetical Institute Elizabeth Ann Seton graduating class of the Pillars: A Journey through Catechism via the Archbishop Harry J. Flynn Catechetical Institute and St. Paul Seminary. She was a devoted Catholic who cherished her Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ. She attended the St. Vincent De Paul parish of Osseo, Minnesota and took solace in knowing the Lord was always watching over her. 

Jeanette was a devoted mother and found great joy in her family, faith, and helping others. She worked as one of the first female General Managers of K-Mart for 17 years, in California before moving to Minnesota late in her career where she lived the remainder of her life. She worked in child care for many years and was known for her humor, dedication, compassion, and love. 

She is survived by her parents, Benjamin and Guillermina Elias; her brothers, Anthony (Angela), Christopher, and Richard (Carol) Elias; her husband, Andrew Rem; and her four children, Jessica (Mark) Derichs, Carly Rem, Joshua (Becky) Rem, and Nikolaus Rem. 

A funeral service will be held on January 9th, 2026 at 10:30 am at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers, Jeanette requested donations may be made to Breathing New Life which is a non-profit charity partnered with the University of Minnesota lung transplant teams.
