Obituary for James M. Schumm
James (Jim) Melvin Schumm, 60 passed away on Saturday May 9th in his home in Osseo, MN after a two year battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Monticello, MN he was the son of Melvin and Frances Schumm (Cleland). He worked at Swanson Tool for over 40 years. He had an incredible work ethic and was always into a project—the work boots never came off before he went to bed. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking and loved his pets and grandchildren. He is survived by his son Nicholas and stepchildren Jozette, Angela, and Richard as well as his grandchildren Cody, Jacob, Kyle, Xavier, Conner, Bella, Esmae, Ethan, Everett, and Alden. A Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday May 17, 2020, Evans-Nordby Funeral Home located at 34 Second St. NE, Osseo, MN.
Visitation times have filled and the family would like to thank everyone for their support and interest for attending.

Our son recently passed away and of course you never expect to have to deal with this for your children so my wife and I were not only devastated but didn’t know what to do or where to turn next. Evans-Nordby was recommended to us by our Priest and I’m so glad he did. From the moment I talked to Tina on the phone I could tell we were in good hands as she took care of every detail. We met with her the next day and she went through all the aspects of what we were to expect in the coming days, weeks, then months ahead.
