Jacob Daniel Ekstedt, age 25, was born on 10/27/1990 and went to be with the Lord on 7/13/2016. Survived by mother Deborah (Roger) Yotter; father Daniel Ekstedt; grandparents Mary Johnson, Richard & Marilyn Turnock, Dale & Hazel Yotter; Godparents Ben Horton and Heather Oleson; sister Tania (Luke) Hendrickson; Godchildren Shane and Noelle Oleson; Godson and nephew Austin; step-sisters Messina (Jamie), Cristina (Jayson), step-brothers Dale, Joshua; nephews Tyler, Christian, Jaden, Josiah, and Brody; step-sisters Cindi, Shari, Lisa (Greg); and other family & friends. Preceded in death by grandfather Donald A. Johnson; grandmother Lucy Ekstedt; and uncle Greg Turnock.
Funeral Service 11AM Wednesday, July 20, at Maple Grove Covenant Church, 9350 Upland Ave, Maple Grove. Visitation from 6-8PM Tuesday, July 19, at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 Second Street NE, Osseo and 1 hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday.

I just can't say enough about the help we received in planning my husband's funeral at the Osseo Evans Nordby funeral home. It was a very difficult time and they were so caring, sensitive, helpful and very organized in making the funeral go smoothly. The funeral home in Osseo felt so welcoming and comfortable also. Tina was extremely helpful in guiding our family with planning the funeral and went out of her way in finding the right memorial folder for my husband. I would highly recommend them. Thank you all.
