Age 87 of Brooklyn Center, passed away January 31, 2017. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold G. Melchert; and siblings, Gerald Jorgens and Almyra (Jack) Kapphahn. She is survived by her children, Mark, Lori, and Scot (Mary) Melchert; grandchildren, Megan, Joseph, Martha, Andrew, Aleah, and Miranda; great-grandchildren, Ronald, Riley, Malik, Jayda, Benjamin, Everett, and Oliver; brother, Thomas (Michael) Jorgens; sisters-in-law, Ruth Jorgens and Marcella Morrison; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Service 11AM Saturday February 4, Brooklyn Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5840 69^th Ave. N., Brooklyn Center, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Sunset Cemetery, Minneapolis.
