Fong Vang was born in Minneapolis on May 19, 1991. He is survived by six brothers, four sisters and 24 nephews and nieces. He is the eighth of eleven children by the parents of Neng Thong Vang and Mang Thao.
Fong and the family grew up Christian for the most of their early years as the family attended the CMA church. Though as with the prodigal son, we know that it is time to come home. Home to the Father in the twinkling of the eye, at the last trumpet.
Fong was definitely a free-spirited person and would strike a path that was all together his own. He chose the path, the journey, the friends that gave him most joy in life. Fong was smart, adventurous, a faithful brother, a peace maker, a friend’s friend, someone who you could always count on. Some of Fong’s passions in love included hanging out with the family, bonding with his friends, fishing, camping, sight seeing and road trips; really anything that would push the boundaries of this thing we call life. He lived in his 32 years more than many would have lived in a lifetime. Though he lived life to the fullest, we can’t escape the thought that he was tragically taken away from us through a selfish act; yet, our brotherhood, the friendships, the memories will live on. Into eternity, our memories of our beloved brother will live on. We’re missing you knowing that you had so much more to offer to this world. Rest in peace our beloved brother.
