Obituary for Evelyn M. Mehlhaff

Mehlhaff, Evelyn Marie, age 83 of Brooklyn Center, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2019.

A stay-at-home mom for many years, Evie was the social center of the neighborhood as well as active in church. As Bible quiz team coach, she led the team to Regionals twice. She was a Programmer-Analyst at Hennepin County for 14 years. After retirement, she daily prayed through a long list of pastors, their families as well as family and friends.

Preceded in death by husband, Kenneth. Survived by daughters, Marla Hartson, Marnie Swedberg, Marcia Mehlhaff, Vicki Foster & their husbands Dave; siblings, Marvin (Betty) Colwill, Wes (Rocky) Colwill, Renee (Joe) Colwill Lovelace ; grandchildren, Cassidy & Laura Hartson, Mark, Keren (Scott) Sharlow, & Timothy Swedberg, Gunnar, Maxwell, Trey & Christopher Foster; great-granddaughter, Julianna Sharlow; & many other relatives and friends.

Visitation 7-9PM, Thursday, March 28, at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center. Funeral Service 11AM Friday, March 29, at Emmanuel Christian Center, 7777 University Ave NE, Spring Lake Park, with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment at Mound Cemetery in Brooklyn Center.
