Obituary for Eleanor Junes

Julianna Eleanora Junes, 90 Years old, Born on July 4, 1931 passed away on July 11, 2021.

Eleanor passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Steeple Point Assisted Living Memory Care, where she was living with dementia these past years.

When Eleanor was young she taught school in Cedar Valley, MN in a one-room schoolhouse living in the apartment upstairs. She taught until she married Cliff in 1953. She then stayed home and took care of her husband and 4 children. She loved her faith, family, visiting the family farm in northern Minnesota and traveling.

Eleanor was survived by sons, Wayne (Alice) Junes, Jeff Junes, daughter Christine Junes and Daugher-in-law Diane Junes, 9 grandchildren - Sarah, Tony, Gabrielle, Brittania, Dustin, Shawntel, Adrianna, Daniel and Melissa, 8 great grandchildren, brothers Raymond (Gloria) Janson, Donald (Geraldine) Janson and sister Luella (Pete) Linden and many brothers and sisters in faith.

Preceded in death by husband Cliff, son Bruce, parents, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral will be Friday July 16, 2021 at Minneapolis Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church 14000 129th Avenue North, Dayton, MN 55327. Visitation 9AM to 10AM funeral service at 10:00, Lunch will be serviced immediately following Service. Interment at Fort Snelling 1:00PM.

Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023.
