Obituary for Edwin Kauffmann

Edwin E. Jr. Kauffmann, age 87, of Maple Grove, MN, passed away peacefully knowing his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 27, 2016. Born August 23, 1928 in Hastings, Nebraska to Edwin and Elizabeth Kauffmann. He attended Sacred Heart Elementary and Robbinsdale High School.

Survived by Patricia Kauffmann, his wife of 65 years; sons, Jeffrey Kauffmann (Donna) and James Kauffmann; daughters, Kathryn Baily (Paul), Margaret Monsrud (Mike), Abigail Moses (Steve); 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren along with relatives and friends.

Ed was an accomplished entrepreneur with a keen sense for business, where he was the President of O.K. Realty and Village Builders with his brother and partner Richard Kauffmann, very successful home builders and worked on several projects with his brother Gary Kauffmann. Ed, Pat and his family enjoyed many winters in Marco Island, Florida. Ed lived life with gusto, was quick-witted and had an infectious smile and laugh. He was an enthusiastic and talented angler, hunter and gardener. Ed enjoyed his friends and many rounds of golf as a former member of the Minneapolis Golf Club. He was A Friend of Bill and Bob.
