Edward J. Green, age 92, born in Pittsburgh, PA. on June 8, 1933, passed away on January 4, 2026 in Brooklyn Park, MN

Edward joined the Navy at the age of 17 and served at sea during the Korean War. After his discharge from the Navy, Edward enlisted in the Air Force and served for 16 years before his retirement. During his time in the Air Force, he attained the rank of Captain and was stationed in France with NATO for 4 years. Edward held many jobs after his time of service, but he was most passionate about his time as a funeral director. He became a licensed funeral director in his 60’s and worked for 10 years in Little Rock, AR.

Edward married Janet Warren at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Georgetown, TX on June 25, 2011; after finding each other on catholicmatch.com. In 2017 they moved into St. Therese at Oxbow Lake in Brooklyn Park, MN. It was at St. Therese that he found his calling as a package delivery person; delivering all the residents the packages that were sent to them, earning the lovable nickname, Mr. McFeely. He enjoyed being able to see and chat with all of his neighbors with each delivery.

Edward will be dearly missed by those whose lives he touched.

Survived by wife, Janet; children, Pam (Chris) Lueck, Larry Green; grandchildren, Shelby, Avery, Maxwell; brother, Ken; and beloved cat Harry.

Preceded in death by parents, Martha & Ed Green; and brother, Al Green.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Edward on Monday, January 19, 2026, at St. Gerards Catholic Church, 9600 Regent Ave N., Brooklyn Park, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to The St. Therese Foundation.
