Obituary for Dusty Kietzmann

Dusty Kietzmann, age 32, passed away surrounded by family and friends at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN on July 23, 2023. Dusty succumbed to severe complications following open heart surgery but put up one hell of a fight.

Dusty was kind of a big deal within the Midwest drifting community! He had a passion for cars, photography, his cat Bud, and was an amazing friend and brother who was always there with a listening ear and positive vibes to anyone that needed it. Dusty was the youngest sibling of four and although he endured the loss of his mom and dad at a young age he always pushed through and fought hard. Dusty was a fighter who had a witty and charismatic way about him. All that knew Dusty, loved Dusty for his sense of humor and his constant positivity. Life threw Dusty lemons, but he always tried to make lemonade. Dusty went out living his best life…starting his photography business with his best friend and mentor Kevin; endless love and support from his soulmate Stacy; getting the band back together with his siblings Jesse, Steph, and Amber who will forever cherish and miss his morning texts of love, optimistic outlook on life, and to remind us of what is important, each other. Dusty was one of a kind who left an impact on anyone that knew him and who was truly larger than life! He won over the amazing medical staff at Abbott who we cannot thank enough for the incredible care he received. He will be fiercely missed by all and though we do not understand why he was taken from us too soon; he truly had a higher calling…lets goooooooo!!!!!

He was preceded in death by Mother Gail, Father Joel, Grandma and Grandpa Fritzke, and Grandma and Grandpa Kietzmann.

Dusty is survived by his girlfriend, Stacy Anderson; brothers: Jesse (Sara) Lind and Scott (Sara) Kietzmann; sisters: Stephanie (Benny) Barron and Amber (Ryan) Geilhausen. Nieces: Rayanna, Sofia, Johnnie, and AJ; and Nephew: Davis.

As well as cousins, family, and many friends.

These people are wonderful. They went over and above in every possible way to help us with funeral arrangements, the visitation, service and burial, despite the fact that we had a limited budget. They were patient, kind, and treated us like family. This is a funeral home you can trust. Thank you, Evans-Nordby.
