Douglas Ogreen, born November 4, 1938, in Aitkin, Minnesota, passed away on May 28, 2026, at the age of 87.
Douglas was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julianna A. Ogreen; his son, Douglas A. Ogreen; his mother, Glendoris Lindgren; his father, Erick D. Ogreen; his stepfather, Clarence Lindgren; and his sister, Joan (Mel) Martin.
He is survived by his two sons, Dennis (Ronda) Ogreen and Erik (Theresa) Ogreen; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, with twins on the way; and one great-great-grandchild.
Douglas was drafted into the United States Army in 1963 and was deployed to Korea. After serving his country, he went on to build a long and dedicated career. He spent more than 20 years working at Litton Microwave. After Litton ceased microwave production, Douglas continued working at Aljon Tool, where he remained until his retirement at the remarkable age of 86.
Douglas was a hardworking man who took pride in providing for his family. He enjoyed golfing, spending time in the sunshine, planting flowers, and puttering around in the yard. He found joy in the simple things and will be remembered for his steady presence, strong work ethic, and love for his family.
A celebration of life and military honors will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at his home, 11708 Kentucky Ave N., Champlin, MN. Military honors will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by a luncheon.
Burial will take place immediately after lunch in Aitkin, Minnesota, where Douglas and Julianna’s ashes will be laid to rest next to Doug’s mother at Lakeview Cemetery, 35381 422nd Place, Aitkin, MN 56431.
All are welcome to attend.
Douglas will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
