Dorothy L. Yanta, age 94, of Maple Grove, passed away April 20, 2019.
Preceded in death by her husband, Al; son, Gary; and sister, Theresa.
Survived by son, Wayne; daughter, Diane (Bob) Berkenes; grandchildren, Amanda and Alicia; great grandchildren, Conner, Caleb, and Nolan; and sister, Lucille Posterick.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Monday, April 29, 2019, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 9100 93rd Ave. N., Brooklyn Park. Visitation 4-6 Sunday, April 28, 2019, at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 2nd St. NE, Osseo, and 1 hour prior to mass at church. Interment St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Osseo.

Evans-Nordby funeral chapel in Osseo, MN handled my husband’s cremation and Celebration of Life service in July of 2023. I can’t say enough positive things about all aspects of my interactions with them. They reached out to help every step of the way—from planning the Celebration of Life service, the service itself, and after care contact. Brittney was the person I primarily worked with. She was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, organized, and had great communication skills, which greatly helped in reducing my stress level. I plan to contact Evans-Nordby soon to pre-plan my own final arrangements.
