Dorothy Anderson

Dorothy Mae (Houska) Anderson, born May 9, 1926, in New Prague, MN, passed away March 14, 2025 in Tucson, AZ.

She grew up in Montgomery and near Kilkenny, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Montgomery. After graduating from high school in 1943, Dorothy moved to Minneapolis to seek employment and met the love of her life, Leonard Anderson. They were married September 20, 1943 and settled in Osseo, MN, where the family attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Dorothy was the church secretary for several years and taught Sunday School. Dorothy enjoyed her long career and friends at Larson Publications (The Osseo Press). After the loss of Leonard in 1990, she traveled extensively with her daughter, Gayle, and son, Craig, until age 90 and then spent her later years with Gayle in Arizona.

She is survived by her daughter, Gayle (Daniel Maus); son, Craig; and many extended family members and friends.

Funeral Service 11 AM Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 710 E. Broadway, Osseo, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
