Obituary for Dorothy Ames

Ames, Dorothy age 78, of Brooklyn Center on July 22, 2016. Preceded in death by parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. Survived by loving husband Frank; two daughters, Barb Ames, and Lisa (Mark) Lysholm; sister Mary (Mike) Nitz; brother Gene (Joan) Costello; sister-in-law Ardis Hopps; “adopted” daughter, Laura Ravaschio; also survived by her many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Dorothy had an adventurous spirit. She loved traveling, golfing, gardening and quilting with LCM Quilters. Her compassion and care for babies & children was lived out every day of her 27 year career as a pediatric nurse at Unity Hospital.

Funeral Service 11:00 am, Friday, July 29, 2016 at Lutheran Church of the Master (1200 – 69^th Ave. N. in Brooklyn Center). Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
