Obituary for Doris L. Kephart

Doris L. Kephart, age 95, of Brooklyn Center, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2021 with her daughter Sharon and granddaughter Ashlee by her side.

Doris enjoyed life, she loved spending time with family and friends, reading, volunteering in the church nursery, taking walks, listening to the birds, crocheting, bingo, word finds, game shows, movies and winning at Yahtzee.

Doris was born February 11, 1925 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was one of four children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Kephart; parents, Magnor & Gladys Lien; and brother, Vernon Lien.

She is survived by her sister, Shirley (Robert) Gossler; brother, Richard (Shirley "Debbie") Lien; sons, Jimmy (Joy) Kephart, William Kephart, and Charles Kephart; daughter, Sharon Kephart; granddaughters, Ashlee Kephart, Jill (Dan) Hussong, Jolie (Matt) Stellmacher, and Jena (Gary) Menke; 7 great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.

Due to the pandemic Doris's funeral service will be Saturday June 12, 2021 at Brooklyn United Methodist Church, 7200 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Center, MN 55429 with 1:00 PM Visitation and 2:00 PM Service. Private Interment Fort Snelling, MN.
